Ryan D. Watkins

rwatkins@afva.net BLOG Ryan, a native Floridian, is the President and CEO of Air France Virtual Airlines and is the Chief Pilot of the Airbus A330/340 program. He joined Delta Virtual Airlines in May 2002 and began his career as a CRJ Trainee Pilot at Delta Virtual Connection. He worked his way up the ladder and later became the 737 Chief Pilot at Delta Virtual Airlines. When AFVA opened its doors, he was among the initial members and joined the staff as the A320 Chief Pilot. Ryan is an Air Force veteran living in South Dakota and is a political science graduate at University of Maryland. His hobbies include golf, reading, movies, and of course, flight sim.
Ryan Wilson

rwilson@afva.net Ryan joined DVA in 2004 as a CRJ first officer and moved up through the ranks to become a senior captain in the 777 program at DVA before making the move to AFVA. He accumulated more than over 1,500 hours with DVA before making the move across the pond. Ryan started flight simulator with FS98 and became hooked ever since. Ryan is currently in college in the United States pursuing a degree in business.

sorloff@afva.net BLOG Steve is the Director of Operations and the Chief Pilot of the F100 program at Air France Virtual Airlines. As the Director of Operations, he is responsible for: events, the flight schedule, fleet figures, as well as being the main contact for pilots. He joined Delta Virtual in April of 2006 and a year later transferred to Air France Virtual as a Boeing 747-400 First Officer. He is currently employed by the Brighton Area Fire Department as a paid-on-call Firefighter. When he isn't flying, he can be found on the water or on the trails.

luke@afva.net As the Vice President of Air France Virtual Airlines, Luke is responsible for the technological infrastructure of our arline, as well as Delta Virtual Airlines. Luke works for a major cable channel in the northern suburbs of Atlanta.

Chief Pilot, Airbus A330 Program
rtaylor@afva.net Robert is the Chief Pilot of the A330 program. Robert lives in Hampshire in the United Kingdom, has been interested in Aviation for over 20 years. Robert loves travelling all over the world looking at Aircraft and most never sees outside of the Airport once there!

Aggrey Ellis
Chief Pilot, Boeing 777 Program
aellis@afva.net Aggrey is the Chief Pilot for the Boeing 777 program. Aggrey joined DVA in 2007 where he flew the 777 until moving to AFV in 2008. His hobbies include skiing,soccer,movies, reading, PC gaming,and of course, flying. He is currently a student in Toronto,Canada.
Dave Gandolfo
Chief Pilot, Airbus A320 Program
dgandolfo@afva.net Dave is the Chief Pilot of the A320 Programme. A university graduate in electronics engineering with a strong concentration in mathematics, Dave opted not to pursue a military career as a fighter pilot due to vision problems. Choosing instead to forge a path in data networking, Dave works for successful British company in the UK performing interactive guest service installations such as internet, movies, and digital television in hotels. Dave Joined Air France Virtual Airlines in January 2009 as a First Officer in the Fokker F100. Earning his seat in the captain’s chair, he decided to advance to the larger A320 where he later achieved the prestigious promotion to Senior Captain before assuming the duties of Chief Pilot.
Brian Hankey
Chief Pilot, Airbus A380 Program
bhankey@afva.net Brian is the Chief Pilot of the A380 program which will be opened March 1st, 2010. Brian Hankey has been flying with Flight Simulators since 1990-91 with version 4. He has been involved with Virtual Airlines since 1995 when he joined WestWind Airlines. During his tenure with WWAL, he held successive management roles around the globe. In 2000, Brian was a the CEO of a couple of smaller airlines that eventually became part of the Unity Airways Group in 2001.

He joined the Global Virtual Airlines Group in 2008, starting as a 757 pilot for Delta Virtual Airlines then was selected to become the Assistant Chief Pilot of the CRJ Program at DVA. In January 2010, he was transfered from Delta Virtual Airlines to Air France Virtual Airlines where he was selected to become the 1st Chief Pilot for the Airbus A380 program.

Professionally speaking, Brian is an electronic banking Project Manager. Prior to this, he spent several years with successive companies where he was involved in new-hire training development, the redesign of training curriculum and manuals, as well as disaster recovery team efforts, developing policies and procedures and working with customers to resolve technical issues.

He began his career with the United States Air Force where he developed and edited training programs for personnel responsible for monitoring weather conditions. He holds a B.A. in history from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Brian currently resides in Orlando, FL. with his wife and three small boys that are already being imbued with the love of aviation (see the related thread in the cooler about AOPA Sun n Fun)
Jesse Rouse
Asst. Chief Pilot, Boeing 727 Program
jrouse@afva.net Jesse is the Assistant Chief Pilot of the 727 program. He lives in a small town in Ohio, training to become a pilot for either Air Canada or Southwest Airlines. He still attends school and gets in a bit of flying any chance he gets!

Ben Maskell
Chief Pilot, Boeing 727 Program
bmaskell@afva.net Ben is the Chief Pilot of the B727 Program. Ben is currently in his final year at school. He then is going to college to do a course in electrical engineering. He is planing to work for Boeing in the future. He joined DVA in 2008, were he was the captain of the CRJ. Ben then decided to move over to AFVA in Janruary 2010, were he was promoted to the A320 first officer. His hobbies include golf, snooker, darts, football and best of all, flight sim.

Dan Biddle
Director of Human Resources
dbiddle@afva.net Dan is the Director of Human Resources at Air France Virtual Airlines. He's been a member of AFVA since the beginning, and rose through the ranks to become Boeing 747 Chief Pilot before being promoted to his current role. Dan is in his final year of university at Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK, and hopes to become an Air Traffic Controller after university. He is a big football (soccer) and rugby fan, and works part time as an Outdoor Education Instructor.
